A friend of mine on Facebook posted a quote from The Secret yesterday, which in my view is extremely inaccurate. Here’s the quote: “Giving is a powerful action to bring more money into your life, because when you are giving you are saying, “I have plenty.” It will not be surprising to you to learn… Read More »
Action is one of the most misunderstood components of the law of attraction. I can’t even count how many times I’ve seen something to the effect of, “The secret of the law of attraction is action.” Or take an email I just got yesterday, which said, “the biggest part of Attraction is Action.” It’s a… Read More »
In this Readers Questions video, a reader asks about the law of attraction and weight loss. Can the LOA be used to lose weight, and if so, how?
I discuss some common LOA advice out there in regards to weight loss, and whether that advice is true or not.… Read More »
This week, I’ve been dispelling several common misconceptions. On Monday, I discussed the common myth that it’s just as easy to manifest a big desire as a small one.
Today, I have another question I’d like to answer: why is it that someone can seem to be happy, and yet still not have everything they want? And, on the other hand, someone who seems to have it all can often be rather sour?
We all know it’s true. We’ve seen those who have very little money, and yet are kind towards all. And we know wealthy people who only care about themselves.
Of course, that’s not a universal truth, but it is enough so that it deserves to be covered.
My goal for this week is to show that there’s a lot more to the law of attraction than you might at first suspect. It’s not just about feeling good, and outer reality reflecting that, though of course that’s part of it. But, there’s a lot more behind the scenes, too.
If you hope to reliably use the law of attraction in your life, then you need to ground your understanding in reality. If it doesn’t apply in reality, then it’s just a nice theory.
Of course, it does apply, but much of the common understanding is limited, as I’ve said before.
As an example, whenever I’ve asked on discussion forums about this issue, of why someone can seem perfectly miserable and yet get what they want, the common response is, “Well, you can’t really know their true vibration.” And while that’s certainly true, it still doesn’t satisfactorily answer the question.
I hope to give a more satisfactory explanation in this post.… Read More »
About two months ago, I asked this question of the Universe: “How do you manifest something big?”
I had been getting pretty comfortable with manifesting in general. I had manifested some things that were a bit outside my comfort zone, as well.
But I wanted to know, what separates those who are, say, getting by financially, vs. those who experience a completely different level of abundance?
I can feel pretty good about money, and in fact I was at the time. And, money was definitely flowing more than it had. But, it just seemed like I had reached the limits of the level I was at. I wasn’t seeing the big changes I wanted to see.
And that’s when I posed the above question to the Universe, not really knowing when I’d get the answer. I actually forgot about the question for quite a while.
Then, just recently, I looked back over the past two months, and realized that not only had the Universe given me the answer, I had in fact started living the answer in my own life. My money situation has improved exponentially since asking that simple question, and I’ve learned more about the law of attraction than I think I ever have.
So, I’d like to share that answer with you in this post.… Read More »
