I got an email yesterday about a new product that claims to help you to manifest wealth. Out of sheer curiosity, I checked out the sales page. It claimed that NASA had some secret document that revealed how to activate your “wealth DNA”. It claimed that just by listening to this audio, your “wealth DNA”… Read More »
How to Feel Good While Balancing It with Reality
There’s been a lot of discussion in the comments lately about firstly, how to feel good about your desire, and secondly, how to do this in a healthy way that respects your current reality. I’ve been saying that manifesting your desires is not just a simple matter of just feeling good, but is quite a bit more intricate than that.
So the question is, what’s the balance? How to feel good without falling into the traps outlined in this post?… Read More »
How Can Creative Tension Make the Law of Attraction Work for You?
This post is going to bust some serious misconceptions about the law of attraction. Specifically, did you know that tension is one of the most essential elements in manifesting your desires?
No, seriously. It is.
But not in the way you’re thinking of. I’m not talking about anxiety, or stress, or anything like that. Obviously, those things will keep your manifestations at bay as always.
No, tension, like I am talking about here, is a very different thing altogether.… Read More »
The Law of Attraction: How Positive Thinking Can Be Dangerous
There is an extremely prevalent misconception in the law of attraction community, and it is this: that positive thinking is the way to manifest your desires.
We hear messages like, “What you focus on, expands,” and “If you give attention to your problems, they will only get bigger.”
Just like any misconception, these are partially true.
It is indeed true that what you focus on, expands. And it’s also true, in a certain sense, that when you give attention to problems, they get bigger.
But we have to define these terms ”focus on”, and “give attention to”, because, these words do not mean what you think they mean.
Why is this so important? Simply, because it can mean the difference between effortlessly creating your own reality, and remaining stuck in a growing web of resistance. You know what it is you want. You create some inspiring affirmations to get you into the vibrational state of that desire, and you spend time every day visualizing having that desire already.
But, you begin to notice in time that, very little is happening, if anything at all.
Or sometimes, it seems to actually be getting worse.
If you are honest with yourself, you realize that you are spinning your wheels, getting nowhere fast.
You might redouble your efforts, or you might give up altogether, thinking there is no truth to the law of attraction.
Does this at all sound familiar?
What has gone wrong? You focused on what you wanted, visualized having it already, and strove to think only positive thoughts about it. According to everything you’ve read, the law of attraction should have brought it to you by now.
There is an extremely prevalent misconception in the law of attraction community, and it is this: that positive thinking is the way to manifest your desires.
We hear messages like, “What you focus on, expands,” and “If you give attention to your problems, they will only get bigger.”
Just like any misconception, these are half-truths.
It is indeed true that what you focus on, expands. And it’s also true, in a certain sense, that when you give attention to problems, they get bigger.
But we have to define these terms ”focus on”, and “give attention to”, because, these words do not mean what you think they mean.

Book Review: The Sedona Method, by Hale Dwoskin
I’ve been hearing about The Sedona Method for several years now. However, until recently, it has never quite caught my attention.
Perhaps it was the way it was introduced, but it just seemed so simplistic.
In fact, you may have heard of it. It is the method that has these three questions:
- “Could you let it go?”
- “Would you?”
- “When?”
When I first heard of these, I thought, “What good is that? I can’t just let go of resistance by asking myself to.”
However, recently I was led to check it out more deeply. First I got their Quick Study Course, and then I decided to pick up the book: The Sedona Method, by Hale Dwoskin.
Right up front, I’ll tell you, at risk of sounding hyperbolic, that this is quite possibly the best spiritual / personal development book I have ever read, and I’ve read a large number of books.
My predominant thought as I was reading, first was, “I’m sorry I passed this over all this time,” and second, “I can’t believe I got all this content for $10.”
The book is over 400 pages, and could easily probably be split into several books.
I realized that what I thought was The Sedona Method before was just barely scratching the surface of what it can really do.
Yes, those are the basic three questions. But unless you know how to really apply them, they seem completely useless.
Enough about that, though. I want to introduce the background of this method, first.… Read More »
