I believe that many people don’t take the law of attraction seriously enough.
If it is true, there is nothing more groundbreaking, more potentially life-changing, than the LOA.
I mean imagine it. We’re literally saying that we have the power to affect the reality around us.
Not just directly, as in through action, but literally on the most fundamental level, independent of our own physical influence or lack thereof.
The LOA claims that just by changing the way you feel, and what you choose to focus upon, you can alter the very fabric of your reality. In a very real way, you are the center of your own universe.
If this is true, what could be of greater importance? What could offer us any greater power than this?
It means that no one has any influence over you, because as Abraham-Hicks always says, there is no assertion, only attraction. No one can assert themselves into your reality against your will.
It means that you are no longer at the whim of a random universe. You are, in fact, at the center of a reality of your own making; it’s just that you are often unconscious of your own creations for the time being.
That’s why I’m always baffled that upon learning of this truth, people’s first inclination seems to be to play it small.
Sure, maybe you want a promotion at work. Or maybe you want someone specific to return your romantic interest.
I certainly don’t fault you for any of that.
But my goodness, imagine the possibilities!
Go ahead. Get the promotion. Get the relationship.
But then we have to ask: now what?
Now that you’ve awaken to the truth that you are the creator of your reality, what will you do with this power?
And it seems, most people just seem to return to life as-is. Maybe the law of attraction is a tool they pull out every so often in extreme circumstances. But other than that, they just live life as they always have.
I have to tell you, I thought one of my clients had the right idea. She came to me with a specific goal in mind. But once I helped her to achieve that goal, she immediately said she wanted to keep working together to see what else she could accomplish. She wanted to learn the nuts and bolts of the LOA and really make it work for her.
But I see that so rarely.
Let’s take money as an example. Money has always been my go-to issue ever since I started learning about the law of attraction.
I think that’s largely because I always felt so powerless when it came to money. Being visually impaired, I spent the majority of my 20s on government assistance (SSI), requiring Christine and me to subsist on about $1,200 or so per month.
So once I learned of the law of attraction, I knew that this was the one area I wanted to transform for myself.
And I did. Over the last 5 years, I went from making next to nothing on SSI, having maybe $100 left over at the end of the month if I was lucky, to where I am today: making far more, and having thousands in the bank at any given time.
And I did that solely using the law of attraction.
And no, not only by teaching about the LOA. I know some LOA teachers get criticized for getting rich off their teaching. Not that I think that’s wrong, but some people seem to think that’s hypocritical somehow.
But no, this website has played a very small part in my own abundance. In any given month, it comprises maybe 10-15% of my total cashflow.
But the point is, having learned of the law of attraction, I used it to transform a very important part of my life, in a way that I truly believe without knowing of these principles, would otherwise have been far more difficult to get the results I did.
It amazes me when I look back and see how much things have changed in 5 years.
But still, I believe there is so much more to be done.
In the grand scheme of things, what I’ve done so far is nothing.
People climb their way out of poverty all the time.
Heck, in the grand scheme of things, my own bank balance isn’t even that impressive. It’s impressive (to me) compared to what I had before, but I know many people with ten times or more what I have.
If that’s all the law of attraction is good for, then it’s really not all that useful, is it?
Except, I believe that isn’t even scratching the surface.
I believe I haven’t even begun to tap into the full potential of what the LOA can offer.
And that brings me to this post.
My 90-Day Challenge to a New Paradigm of Abundance
Look, nothing’s all that special about my circumstances. I have a fairly well-paying job as a programmer, and I run this website on the side, which offers a bit of extra money. I have some investments that are generally growing. And, I’m good at saving (probably too good if you ask Christine; she wouldn’t mind spending some of that 😛).
There are millions of people in very similar circumstances. There are many more in even better ones.
But I believe, at the core of my being, that more is possible.
I look at what I have accomplished over the last 5 years, even with all of my doubts, anxiety, and limiting beliefs, and I can’t believe how far I’ve personally come.
But if I did that in 5 years, often fumbling and not knowing what I was doing, how much more can I do now that I know a lot more about how this all works?
I believe it’s time for the next level in my own evolution.
That’s why I’ve decided to begin this 90-day challenge.
In exactly 90 days (on September 21), I will be turning 33 years old.
I thought this offered the perfect opportunity to really commit to a new focus, to really break through my own limiting beliefs about money and test the limits of what the law of attraction can do.
I’d love to be in a totally new place in regards to abundance by the time my 33rd birthday rolls around.
So why am I doing this publicly?
I figured others might be interested in joining me on this journey. In fact, when I sent out an email to my subscribers, asking who was interested, I was flooded with responses.
I’ve always considered my own life as a sort of scientific experiment of these principles. I take what I know, try it on myself, and teach others what I learn as a result.
But my life is very much a work in progress. I’ve not nearly accomplished everything I want to accomplish.
And I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to create greater abundance.
So, for those who are interested, I want to share my progress — my successes and failures — and the realizations I have along the way.
A New Paradigm?
In the post title, I specifically mention “a new paradigm of abundance”.
I believe that our own expectations and beliefs around money shape how money can come to us.
Most people believe you need a day job to get money. And if you want more of it, then you either have to get a raise, a promotion, or a better-paying job.
But this is one of the ideas I want to test.
Last year when I initially quit my previous job, I wanted to test how money could come to me. And as I’ve mentioned before, for quite a while after quitting that job, money continued to flow effortlessly into my life.
Until, of course, my own beliefs and fears got in the way and it dried up.
But, it showed me a glimpse of what was possible.
The law of attraction does not say that money only comes by doing X, Y, and Z. In fact, action has nothing to do with it at all.
The law of attraction says that if we feel abundant, and focus on the abundance we already have, then abundance must be our experience.
You could be working at minimum wage, and if you were able to focus on the feeling of abundance, your reality would have no choice but to reflect that.
How that would happen is anyone’s guess. But it would happen.
I already have a job. I did recently get a raise. But, that can only account for so much.
I have no interest in changing jobs, unless the Universe really threw me a curveball and brought me an opportunity I couldn’t even imagine right now.
And yet, I want greater abundance.
This time, I won’t be quitting my job to put it to the test, because I actually enjoy the work I do.
But, I believe 100% that if I focus on the feeling of greater abundance, that must become my experience, in some way that I may not even expect right now.
I believe 100% that money has very little relation to the work I happen to do.
We need to retire this idea that effort is rewarded with money, and so to get more money, we must work harder.
I will not be looking for new jobs. I will not be asking for a raise. I will not even be pushing particularly hard to make money from this website (anymore than I already do).
I will simply rely on my own vibration to create the changes I want to see in my reality. And I’ll be open to however the Universe chooses to bring that about.
I’m sure I’ll write a lot more on the role of action as this challenge proceeds, but I think it’s extremely important to lay that out up-front. It’s not my action that will be creating these changes, it is only my changed focus.
What Next?
This is a pretty short post today, just because I want to get this out there and officially start this 90-day challenge.
I plan to write periodically on what I’ve been experiencing, both the positives and the negatives. I will endeavor to be as honest and upfront as possible, because otherwise there’s no point to doing this publicly.
And heck, I have no idea how it will end. I have no idea if concrete changes will happen in these 90 days, or just the beginnings of new opportunities.
But, I do hope that these 90 days will be massively transformative for both myself, and anyone else who chooses to follow along.
To aid in your transformation, I am making my one-on-one coaching available at a 20% discount for anyone who is following the challenge. Since the challenge is on the topic of money and abundance, it’s only those topics that the discount will be valid for.
But if you’d like some help in working through your own beliefs on abundance, then feel free to schedule a session. The 20% discount is available until the end of the challenge on September 21.
Also, I’ve created a Facebook group for those who want to follow this challenge. You’re welcome to join, and also to invite anyone else who might want to follow along. It’ll be a great place to discuss whatever comes up around money and abundance as we move through these 90 days.
You can join it here:

I hope you’ll join me on this journey, and I can’t wait to see what we can all create!
10 Reasons You Aren't Getting Results with the Law of Attraction
Download this free ebook to find out why the law of attraction isn't working for you.
I have an issue. I heard of soul contracts and if they exists what is the point then with manifesting? I thought we came here to have fun and create. Even Richard Dotts says that is the point.
Hi Pär,
I’m so sorry I didn’t get to your comment. The last several weeks have been hectic and your comment totally slipped my mind.
Soul contracts I think is too strong of a word. I do think we have soul agreements, perhaps to meet up in life and just see what happens. I strongly believe my wife and I made a soul agreement before we came here, just because we match up in such a perfect way.
I don’t see how it would affect manifestation though. I don’t see it as any more than selecting whom to play with in life. Doesn’t have to be anymore serious than that.
Hope that makes sense.
Hi Brandon
It is ok. Sometimes the time is not there 🙂 I also have to say that what you do and your blog is so helpful. You put everything together in a beatuful way.
I was depressed because if I can`t manifest money because of some soul contracts then I can just give up.
And your answer is beatuiful and as you say soul agreements have nothing to do with manifestation. Why would the divine stop me from have everything I want?
I think I get to serious sometimes and overthink things a little bit to much. Like the other day I said that I write down ”my will is to recieve 50 dollars” and make everything more easy. And suddenly the day after my wife comes home and say she had recieved 50 dollars in tip and I thought wow 🙂🙏
