Much to the contrary of what some people believe, the law of attraction is an incredibly spiritual process.
One such area where that reveals itself is when it comes to our own happiness.
What we often want to happen is that we think of some desire, say a couple affirmations and it happens instantly.
All the money you ever wanted, the dream job, the perfect relationship — all yours with no inner work whatsoever.
Of course that’s not at all how it works, because all too often, we confuse desire with happiness.
We believe that the money, the job, the relationship, will bring us happiness or fulfillment that we currently lack.
And with the ingenious way the Universe works, as long as we believe we lack happiness, we can never have happiness.
As long as we believe we need something to be happy, we can never actually have that thing, at least in the way we wanted it.
So the law of attraction requires us to come to terms with our own inner happiness. The desire forces us to look within and truly face why we want what we want. It makes us connect with the happiness, peace, and fulfillment that has always been there.
And once those are in place, then the desire can come, effortlessly.
That’s how it’s supposed to work.
But instead of doing that, it’s all too normal to try even harder to get the desire, never learning the lesson that the desire is trying to teach us.
We visualize more, say more affirmations, take more action — all to try to get that desire, so we can be happy.
When all along, if we would just be willing to be happy first, the desire would manifest almost instantly, and certainly with no effort whatsoever, and even very little action.
As Abraham-Hicks likes to put it, we aren’t willing to pay the price of feeling good before we get the thing we want.
But if you would turn that around — if you would find a way to be OK where you are today, if you could just soften that resistance against current reality — things would begin to turn around for you.
This has been much of what I’ve been exploring over the few months I was gone.
I tried so hard to get what I wanted, put in so much will and effort and desperation, that I exhausted myself.
Things fell apart and I was forced to begin from the ground up — but more about that in my post I’ll be publishing this weekend.
But suffice it to say, I’ve taken a much lighter approach to manifestation, realizing that I was being far too intense about it.
Things still happen quickly. In fact I just manifested a piano, for free, in just 1 week. I also manifested some true financial miracles.
But I learned that I have to put happiness first. I learned that the ride will be much smoother if I align first and allow the desire to naturally and effortlessly manifest.
I see this same struggle in other people’s lives, and so I’ve decided to offer another masterclass: Creating from Non-Doing.
In this new class coming up on November 7, I’ll teach you the path of allowing — the way of non-doing — to get anything that you desire.
I guarantee you are very likely trying way too hard to get what you want now, and this trying and efforting is getting in the way of that desire manifesting.
Instead, I’ll teach you the gentle approach to softening your resistance, being happy now and allowing your desire to effortlessly come into your life.
