I’m guessing you don’t question it when you need to put in the time to reach a goal of yours.
Maybe you go to work to make money. Or maybe you work on your business to attract more clients. Or perhaps you study in school to create new career opportunities.
Even for a hobby you’d put in time. If you’re a musician, you put in time practicing. If you’re a trader, like me, you put in time learning about the markets and profitable trading strategies. In my case, studying for the Series 65 as I have been, I put in tons of time reading the material and taking practice quizzes.
But if your goal is to be a creator — to be the God of your reality — do you put in the time to practice that, or to work on your goals?
How much time do you spend every day on the act of creation? After all, surely it’s not easy being a god? Surely it takes some practice and effort?
But I find that many people, including myself at times, skimp on this practice. Or if they do make an attempt at it, they don’t actually know how to go about it.
Why do we avoid this practice? I think there are several reasons.
First, it’s unnatural. We’re not used to this kind of practice, to living in this way, so we forget about it.
But second, I think it’s because it’s painful. It requires self-analysis, looking at our own resistance, facing our fears, and letting them go.
This is also why people tend to mess up this practice. They’d rather do the fun parts, like visualizing what they want. But it’s not fun to face your resistance, yet it’s necessary.
The fun part is actually a very small part of the process, unfortunately. Most of it is just resistance work, because that’s largely what holds us back.
It reminds me of the process of learning a new piano piece. When I hear a piece I really enjoy and want to learn, very little of the process is actually enjoying the finished product. The process of learning it, memorizing it, and practicing it, are not fun to say the least. But the end result is what I look forward to.
And so it is with the creation process. It’s not fun to face our own resistance. It’s not fun to confront our own fears, failures, and doubts. But if we hope to create something new, we must go through this process.
Are you willing to do the daily work to create what you choose to create? Are you willing to set a goal, clear the resistance to that goal, and see it manifest in your reality?
Only by regular practice will you clear the path to becoming the God of your reality.
If you have no idea where to start or how to go about this process, I am now offering one-on-one coaching, either on an hourly basis or in 3 month packages. I’d love to work with you to clear the path to all of your goals, and give you the tools you need to continue this process on your own.
