How hard have you been trying to get your goal?
Has it been on your mind day and night? Have you been trying so hard to stay positive enough, to visualize in the right way, or say the right affirmations?
Or are you taking tons of physical action to try to make what you want take place?
If so, you are almost definitely trying too hard.
And by doing so, you are holding away the thing that you want.
The Universe doesn’t respond to force. Well, it responds, but in the opposite way you might like.
The more you try to force the Universe, the more it heads in the opposite direction.
How much is too much, though?
Actually the threshold is not very high. It takes very, very little effort on your part to move towards what you want, and only a bit more effort to hold it away.
The litmus test for me is this: does it feel like you are “trying” to get it?
Does it feel like something you lack that you are trying to forcefully drag into your reality?
If so, you are trying too hard.
Or, does it feel like something you are becoming— something you are embodying inside yourself?
In that case, you’re doing perfectly.
