We get so busy in life that we start to feel disconnected.
Even if you are practicing magick regularly, you can get into the habit of just doing, doing, doing—just striving after goals, pursuing your desires, etc.
But there has to be a balance between action and non-action, between doing and non-doing, between movement and stillness.
I’ve always been a big believer in mindfulness and meditation. I’m not a classic meditator, meaning that I don’t sit for 30 minutes in absolute silence. I get too bored that way.
But when I’m feeling frazzled, or my life is starting to feel too mundane and unmagickal (yes I made up that word), I realize that I’m not connecting enough.
So I take a few minutes, just go within and connect.
I might call the enn (short phrase to summon a demon’s essence) of one of my favorite demons for a few minutes, or even just relax into myself and center.
But I find this is the only way to rekindle the magick in my life. This is the only way to regroup and feel more capable of achieving my goals.
As I said it only needs to be for a few minutes, or whatever’s comfortable for you. It should be enjoyable, not boring and an obligation.
